Easter Appeal 2026 Give a gift today When you hear the word “Easter,” do you sense the pull between the world’s glittering traditions and the true meaning we are called to hold fast to? It can be easy to be swept along by chocolate eggs, playful bunnies, and pastel-coloured celebrations, or the busyness of family gatherings and festivities. Yet Easter was never meant to be about confectionery or consumerism. It points us instead to something far greater and eternal — to a cross, a grave, and the glorious truth that Christ is risen. According to the Bible, Easter is not about what we do, but about what God has done. “For I know that my Redeemer lives, and at the last he will stand upon the earth.” Job 19:25 (ESV) The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the single most significant event in human history. On this day, we remember that death is not the end of the story. The empty tomb speaks volumes: the stone was rolled away. Jesus has conquered death. Our Saviour lives. And everything changed. The population of the earth is over 8 billion people, and about a third have yet to hear the true story of Easter. While we gather to remember Christ’s victory over death, many of our OM in the UK workers are quietly sharing that same resurrection hope in places of hardship, uncertainty, and great need. They operate where the gospel is often hardest to hear, trusting that the living Christ walks beside them. Across the UK, OM workers are serving amongst outreach programmes, refugees, youth and young adults, the diaspora community, local churches and so much more. Often unseen and under-supported, they continue because they know Christ is alive and His calling remains. Your support is more than financial help — it is encouragement, provision, and a reminder that they are not alone. Because of you, OM in the UK can continue to serve with confidence, knowing the living Christ goes before them. From the angel at the tomb to the final words of Jesus at His ascension, the Easter story is so significant, we must make sure that those who don’t know the message of the gospel have a chance to hear and receive it. As we celebrate Easter, here are a few passages of Scripture for further reflection on the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ: Matthew 28, Luke 24:13–49 and John 20:11–29. click to download our easter flyer Easter is not an event we simply observe — it is the foundation of our faith. It is the greatest moment in history, a promise of what is to come, and a living reality that shapes our lives today. As we celebrate the resurrection of Christ, we invite you to stand again with those who carry the gospel forward in the UK. Together, we declare: Christ Our Redeemer Lives — Oh, Sing Hallelujah!
