David Fry serves as the Field Leader for MediaWorks in Austria, formally known as OM EAST / Greater Europe which began its work in 1968 with an innovative vision to smuggle literature into Communist Europe. Today the team produce print and digital resources in support of ministry to the Least Reached globally.

David began working in R&D with an international telecoms company in 1983 before being called into missions. After graduating from All Nations College in 1993 he joined Feba Radio in the Seychelles as an engineer. In 2003 they moved to Austria to work with Trans World Radio (TWR) where he later became Technical Director, responsible for broadcasts and distribution in Europe, Central Asia and the Middle East.

After joining OM in 2019, David became the Field Leader for MediaWorks. The team has a small core of members based in Austria, with a number of other media professionals joining remotely from around the world. David is married to Marlene, an Austrian Linguist who served two summers with OM in France in the 1980’s and they have 4 children.
