The Mercy Appeal Donate Through our OM teams and partners serving globally, we see God’s hand at work as He draws near to those in need and provides for them in powerful, tangible ways. Whether responding to war, natural disasters, or the ongoing food crisis, we at OM consider it a profound privilege to reveal God's presence and compassionate care in over 147 countries around the world. In times of crisis, local OM workers are already on the ground — serving the communities they know and love with deep understanding, cultural sensitivity, and with Christlike compassion. DONATE TO THE MERCY APPEAL Daniel*, an OM REACH participant and bus crash survivor, shares his story “Immediately after the accident, I felt confused, shocked, and in pain. My neck was stiff and sore, and I could hardly move it. I was overwhelmed by fear and panic, especially with all the noise, chaos, and flashing lights. Hearing that 3 people from our team lost their lives in the accident was heartbreaking. I felt a deep sense of sadness and survivor’s guilt. I kept asking myself, “Why them and not me?” Overcoming the trauma took time and support. I went through therapy with a counsellor who helped me talk through the guilt, anxiety, and fear. I also leaned heavily on my faith, prayer, and support from family and close friends. Sharing my experience and emotions was an important part of my healing. Spiritually, I found comfort in believing that God has a purpose for sparing my life. It wasn’t easy, but step by step, I began to feel whole again.” *name modified DONATE TO THE MERCY APPEAL In the leaflet below, you’ll find more powerful stories of local OM workers who have faced disasters in their own countries and responded with unwavering love and service to their communities.
