Introduction

When we think of peace, we tend to think of the absence of conflict. However, the Bible teaches that peace is much more than that. It calms our anxieties, comforts those who mourn and brings harmony to disunity. Peace, rooted in God’s Spirit through Jesus Christ, is what brings wholeness and stability - even in the face of difficulties.

Story

Gopika* lives with her husband, two sons and daughter Nanda* in the Himalayas. She didn’t know much about Jesus and had no time to think about Him as she was regularly facing domestic abuse and suffering spiritual attacks. Her cousin however had recently come to faith through the discipleship of an OM team in the area. Gopika decided to join her in a fellowship, where she realised that when listening to the Word of God, she felt indescribable peace. A peace she had never known but always wanted. So, Gopika put her faith in Jesus. Earlier this year, all of Gopika’s family members came to faith, and her husband was baptised, which led to a complete change of character. Through Gopika and her family, over 15 people turned to Jesus and many non-believers heard the gospel and repented.
