Introduction

Wherever we look today, people are talking about love - in music, movies, podcasts, books… The world seems obsessed with it! But the love they speak of is temporary, even transactional. Behind this obsession lies a greater human need  – to be known and accepted by our Creator with an unconditional and everlasting love that can only come through Jesus.

Story

Jill*, a worker with OM in Myanmar was recently reminded of the transforming power God's personal love has of the Buddhist people. Her team visited people who had had their villages taken over by fighting to donate clothes and toys, and play games with the kids. At the end of the visit, Jill’s group shared the creation story after which one person said: “I didn’t realise I was a favourite of God. I didn’t know I was created, but I really didn’t know I was a favourite.” The man's worldview was completely altered when he realised he could personally talk to God. Through this encounter and other work happening throughout Myanmar, Jill has seen how experiencing God’s selfless and all-encompassing love on a personal and intimate level has brought the most transformation to a person’s life.
