Heartbeat - March Evangelism Among the Least Reached: Hindu & Buddhist Communities The people of Nepal, Bhutan, India, and Tibet remain among the least-reached globally. Many have never heard of Jesus due to geographic isolation, limited education, and government restrictions. Many live and die without hearing the Gospel. Hindu populations worship idols, while Buddhists live in fear of evil spirits. Believers often face alienation or persecution, and existing churches are mostly in cities, inaccessible to rural communities. Download a PDFUSE prayermate “But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give a reason for the hope that you have.” 1 Peter 3:15a March 01 Pray for the Hindu and Buddhist communities of Nepal, Bhutan, India, and Tibet, asking God to open their eyes to see Jesus as the true and living God. May the light of the Gospel pierce every darkness and deception. March 02 Intercede for those who have never heard the name of Jesus. Pray that God breaks through geographic isolation and government restrictions, so the Good News reaches every hidden place. Ask that He raise up bold messengers to go where Christ is not yet known. March 03 Pray for those bound by idol worship in Hindu communities. Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal the emptiness of false gods and awaken a deep hunger for the true and living God. May they encounter Jesus through dreams, visions, and divine encounters. March 04 Pray for Buddhist communities, that the Lord would reveal Himself as the Prince of Peace who conquers all fear and superstition, bringing lasting peace and security in His name. March 05 Ask God to open the heavens over the Himalayan region, breaking spiritual strongholds of idolatry and unbelief. Pray for signs, wonders, and miracles to confirm the Gospel so that revival sweeps through the mountains and valleys. March 06 Pray that Jesus will reveal Himself through dreams and visions to those still unreached, leading many to seek Scripture and Christian fellowship. March 07 Give thanks for the seeds of the Gospel already sown among the Tibetan people, that these efforts would bear much fruit and bring lasting transformation. March 08 Pray for believers in these regions who face alienation and persecution for their faith. Ask that their hearts be filled with courage, grace, and forgiveness, and that their steadfast witness draws many to Christ. March 09 Lift up faithful national workers serving through OM across the Himalayas. Pray for the workers and those they’ve trained, asking for divine strategies, multiplication of impact, and lasting fruit for God’s kingdom. March 10 Pray for protection and provision for all OM workers as they travel across challenging terrain. Ask for safety from spiritual and physical harm, and for God’s presence and strength to sustain them. March 11 Intercede for believers who have faced persecution or rejection. Pray for healing, restored hope, and that their perseverance becomes a living testimony of Christ’s love. March 12 Pray for local pastors and new leaders shepherding emerging congregations, that they would grow in maturity, receive discipleship resources, and lead with wisdom and humility. March 13 Pray for new believers who have come to faith through OM’s ministry in the Himalayas. Ask God to seal them with His Spirit, ground them in truth, and surround them with strong mentors and fellowships. March 14 Lift up the new fellowships and churches being established. Pray for unity, sound teaching, and a vibrant witness that shines as a beacon of hope in their communities. March 15 Ask God to raise up disciple-makers within Hindu and Buddhist communities. Pray that new believers boldly share their testimonies, multiplying disciples across homes, villages, and workplaces. OM in the Himalaya Region Since 2020, OM in the Himalaya region has mobilised over 976 national workers and trained more than 6,940 local believers for disciple-making. Together, they have distributed over 944,000 Gospel packets and 200,700 New Testaments. As a result, more than 2,742 people have come to faith in Jesus, and over 305 new fellowships or churches have been established among least-reached communities. Additionally, our Tibetan Bible App has been downloaded over 100,000 times, primarily by users in the target Himalayan region. March 16 Pray for indigenous worshippers and songwriters to arise, expressing authentic faith through heart-language worship that glorifies Jesus and testifies powerfully to their communities. March 17 Pray that the distribution of Gospel packets, New Testaments, and digital resources will bear lasting fruit — that every piece of literature and every word of Scripture will reach receptive hearts and transform lives. March 18 Intercede for the ongoing impact of the Tibetan Bible App, that every reader will encounter God personally and that His Word spreads even where physical access is limited. March 19 Pray for the translation of Gospel resources into heart languages — that each version carries clarity, accuracy, and cultural connection. Ask God to empower local translators and remove language barriers to the Gospel. March 20 Lift up efforts to overcome literacy barriers through audio Scriptures and mobile apps. Pray blessing over tech teams and that every listener hears God’s voice calling them to salvation. March 21 Ask God to release supernatural provision for the printing, translation, and distribution of Scripture, and to move donors to give generously so that financial needs never hinder His Word. March 22 Pray for OM’s outreach to new villages and homes. Ask God to prepare hearts to receive the Gospel, that every book, tract, and audio message would spark faith that multiplies. March 23 Pray for government officials and community leaders, that God softens their hearts and transforms opposition into favour. Pray that even those in authority encounter Christ through His people. March 24 Ask God to raise up a new generation of children in Nepal and North India through Gospel-centred lessons and books — that they grow bold in faith and rooted in truth. March 25 Pray for unity among believers and mission organisations across the Himalayas, that competition would give way to collaboration for the advancement of the Gospel. March 26 Ask that every believer recognize their calling as Christ’s witness — to walk in boldness, compassion, and the power of the Holy Spirit. March 27 Pray for lasting transformation among those who have received the Gospel, that they mature into disciple-makers who live out their faith with love, humility, and service. March 28 Pray that God will move the hearts of global donors and partners to support the vital work among Hindu and Buddhist peoples, providing all that is needed to sustain the mission. March 29 Ask God to ignite passion for mission in the global Church, raising up intercessors, senders, and supporters to join in fulfilling the Great Commission among the least reached. March 30 Lift up OM workers and their families who are serving abroad. Many may be facing culture shock and the challenges that come with learning new systems and languages. May God guide them and protect them from discouragement. March 31 Ask that the love of God would abound in Short-term Opportunity participants for the peoples they are serving and that they would be restful in the hope that the gospel seeds sown through their outreaches will bear fruit in their due season by the Holy Spirit. Nurturing the Gospel’s Growth in Nepal & North India In 2025, OM aimed to reach 220,000 households in least-reached areas with evangelistic and discipleship resources in heart languages. The goal was to provide each household with a Gospel book (Matthew, Mark, Luke, or John), a clear Gospel tract, and, where possible, an additional Christian or Gospel-centred children’s book. For those with limited literacy, audio resources were provided via SD cards, audio players, or mobile access through QR codes and Bluetooth. To further equip local believers, discipleship materials were also distributed to support their spiritual growth and ministry. Back to Heartbeat prayer diary Manage Cookie Preferences
