Richard Langmead CEO - Field Leader Expand Richard is from Poole on the South coast, but grew up on the OM's ship Doulos (Brazil, Mexico, Caribbean), where he developed a deep passion for justice, international outreach, and a lasting sense that life with Jesus was an incredible adventure. Over the years, he has served as a church pastor, was Co-owner with Richmond Travel, served as CEO with Urban Saints, and more recently, he leads at two Christian Retreat and Conference Centres. He also co-leads the Disciple-Making Project a mission to put disciple-making at the heart of Christian Youth work. His leadership journey reflects a love for adventure, mission in the neediest places, and a clear call to grow disciple-making communities.
Andrew Berry Director of People in Mission Expand Andrew's first encounter with OM was at a bookstore run by STL (Send the Light). After pastoring various churches in the USA for over 17 years, Andrew and his wife, Marcia, moved to France with their family as missionaries to an international church. Whilst there for eight years, they helped plant a French-speaking church. Andrew rejoined OM as Team Leader of our Carlisle office in 2013 before taking on leadership of OM's Disciple Making Ministries among least reached people groups and migrant ministry in the UK. The goal of our work in the UK is to see Disciple Making Communities through which multiplication can take place.
Jaco Swart Director of Finance Expand Jaco Swart hails from Johannesburg, South Africa. He graduated with a Management Accountancy degree in 1999. After qualifying, he worked in the UK and South Africa. He also completed his Theology degree and PGCE in Higher Education. Over the past 10 years, he helped facilitate and lectured in Bible schools in Southern and East Africa and Northern Europe. Jaco, along with his wife, Leanne, and their five children, joined OM in August 2020 as Director of Finance.
Chris Lawley Director of Strategic Partnerships Expand Chris is from West Yorkshire and now lives in North Wales. He joined OM in May 2022 after a long and varied career in senior management within the UK retail sector. With over 30 years’ experience in leadership, finance, and training, Chris brings a wealth of knowledge and a heart to see people grow and thrive. In his role with OM, Chris helps strengthen the vital connections between the organisation and its partners—whether through prayer, giving, or joining us in mission opportunities. He also oversees the fundraising that makes it possible for OM to continue equipping and sending workers into God’s mission. Alongside his professional work, Chris has always been active in his local church, serving faithfully in roles such as treasurer and deacon. He is married to Sarah, and together they are blessed with three children and four grandchildren.
Sandie Davies Director of Community Expand Sandie is from Northern Ireland and joined OM in 1985. She served initially for four years in Belgium and the Indian Subcontinent, then rejoined with her husband, Steve, in 1996 with their two young children, and spent 12 years overseas (Doulos and South Asia). Whilst working in the personnel team in the UK, Sandie’s interest in pastoral care led her to complete an MA in member care. She joined the leadership team in October 2023 as Director of Community
Arnold Mabiala Director of Mobilising Ministries Expand Arnold is from the Democratic Republic of Congo, currently living in Birmingham. He joined OM in November 2022 following a career in the NHS. He has experience in youth ministry after serving for many years as a youth leader in his local church. With a deep passion for seeing young people step into God’s mission, Arnold helps lead OM in the UK’s efforts to inspire, equip and champion new generations of Jesus followers to engage in God’s mission.
Zane Nel Director of Mobilisation Expand Zane Nel is a devoted follower of Jesus Christ and has been serving as Director of Mobilisation since 2024. His life is marked by a deep passion for seeing people encounter the love and power of God. Over the years, Zane’s faith journey has taken him to more than 65 nations, where he has boldly proclaimed the Gospel and witnessed countless lives transformed by the presence of Jesus. Driven by a heart for adventure and mission, Zane has embarked on numerous bike expeditions across South Africa, Malawi, Rwanda, New Zealand, and Australia. These journeys have not only tested his endurance but have also become powerful platforms for ministry — times of intercession, evangelism, and seeing the miraculous hand of God at work. Along the way, he has witnessed many salvations, healings, and divine encounters, as people responded to the Good News of Jesus Christ. As Director of Mobilisation, Zane carries a vision to awaken and equip believers to live missionally — wherever they are. His life reflects a burning desire to see every nation, tribe, and tongue experience the hope found in Christ. Whether on a bicycle trail through the countryside or in a global conference hall, Zane’s message remains the same: Jesus is alive, and His Kingdom is advancing.
