Please note, this opportunity is for church groups only.

Church groups are invited to partner with one of our local churches to foster a new church plant in a least reached village of Bulgaria. These villages have little access to the gospel and are considered to be the most unreached area of the south-eastern part of Bulgaria. The goal is to build long term relationships with one of the churches and to continue this relationship and partnership long-term through praying, giving and sending people.

Suitable for

Your group will be involved in children's ministry, youth work, visiting families with food parcels and sharing the Good News.  You will also help lead Bible studies and church services. You are encouraged to use your gifts and abilities to build relationships with the church to help see vibrant communities of Jesus followers forming in the south eastern part of Bulgaria. 

Participant Profile

If your church has a passion and heart for the least reached in Bulgaria to be reached with the love of Jesus, then we welcome your church group to foster a church in Bulgaria. Basic Language skills in English, Romanian or Bulgarian required.

Accommodation

You will stay in the Rusokastro church building during your time in Bulgaria. Please note that it may not be possible for groups, families or married couples to remain together within the different accommodations. 

Food

Good Bulgarian food is provided. You may need to prepare your own meals. Please come ready to serve together alongside the team and tell us if you have dietary restrictions.

Travel

Participants must arrange their own travel to and from Bucharest (Romania), or Sofia (Bulgaria). Participants will be picked up by OM team members at the airport, train, or bus station.  Please do not book travel unless you have received an acceptance email.

Health

We want everyone to enjoy the experience safely. Please make sure you are in good health and comfortable with physical activities like standing, walking, bending, and lifting as needed.

Visa

British citizens can visit Bulgaria for up to 90 days without a visa. Please note, this OM team cannot issue letters of invitations for people joining OM for short term outreaches, therefore unfortunately, it will not be possible to apply if you require a visa to enter Bulgaria. 

Notes 

Price excludes, £50 deposit, flights, insurance and any vaccinations that may be necessary and is subject to change according to the exchange rate.

Individuals applying must be 18 or over.

As part of our Safeguarding policy, you will require a valid enhanced DBS certificate, which may cost up to an additional £30.

This OM team cannot issue letters of invitations for people joining OM for short term outreaches, therefore unfortunately, it will not be possible to apply if you require a visa to enter Bulgaria but please do see other opportunities with OM.
