Spain: Create on the Camino There is space on the team for all kinds of different art forms. Dance, poetry, music, painting, spoken word, pottery, sketching, theatre, all is welcome. The Camino outreach is a short term project where you will use your art to reach out to pilgrims walking the Camino de Santiago. Every year about half a million people walk this ancient pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela and these days many people are walking in search of ‘something’. Direction in life, processing life events or searching for God as an example. During the Camino outreach you will meet pilgrims where they are and speak Truth into their live’s, by using your artistic gifts and talents. You will witness about Jesus to the pilgrims through the arts. Dates Sunday, 06 September - Tuesday, 22 September 2026 Apply by 30 June 2026 Cost £710 (excluding flights, insurance and any possible vaccinations) Ages 18+ Suitable for Ministry Details: When you sign up for this arts outreach you can choose between two options:1. You will be based and staying in an albergue right on the Camino de Santiago in Os Muiños and you will reach out to pilgrims walking by and coming in to the albergue. Or 2. You will walk about 200 km of the Camino de Santiago and reach out to pilgrims that you meet along the way and in the albergue’s where you stay during the walk. Pilgrims are very open to all kinds of conversations and with your art skills you open up or bring depth to these conversations. During the outreach there will be plenty of time for you to create.There is space on the team for all kinds of different art forms. Participant Profile: For artists who love God and want to use their art form to witness to the pilgrims on the Camino de Santiago.When you choose to walk part of the Camino please be aware that it is not ‘a walk in the park’ and a decent amount of mobility and fitness is required.All short-term project team participants will be expected to participate in pre-trip training/preparation. Accommodation You will stay in the same albergue in Os Muiños or in different albergue’s every day during the Camino. Food Depending on the group you choose when you sign up your food will be provided or you are responsible for buying your own food. Dinner is most often provided by the albergue where you sleep. All meals are included in the cost of the STP. Travel You will need to fly in to Santiago de Compostela by yourself at the start of the outreach. The same for when it ends, you will leave from Santiago de Compostela by yourself. We will take care of all the travelling in between. Please do not book flights unless you have received an official acceptance email. Health If you decide to walk the 200 km, you need to be in a physical condition to do this. Visa British citizens can travel to countries in the Schengen area for up to 90 days in any 180-day period without a visa. Please note that it is the responsibility of each traveller to ensure they obtain the necessary visa(s) required for entry into the country that they plan to visit. This excludes destination countries for Ships related travel. We strongly recommend that all visa applications be submitted to the relevant consular website as per their specified requirements well in advance of your intended travel date, this could be up to 8-12 weeks in advance. If a visa is denied or not obtained in time, we are unable to offer any reimbursement for flight costs or any other travel-related expenses. All bookings are made at the traveller’s own risk, and we advise confirming placement/outreach approval before making any non-refundable travel arrangements.
