Serbia: Youth Camps OM partners with local churches to run summer youth camps for teens and young adults to grow in their faith. This is an opportunity for assisting with sports and games, spending time getting to know the youth, helping with kitchen prep and serving. We just need people! Come and join us if you're passionate about youth ministry! We will have ways for you to help using your gifts and where you feel comfortable. Dates Camp 1 (ages 10-14) 26 July - 02 August 2026 Camp 2 (ages 15-25) 02 August - 09 August 2026 Apply by 18 June 2025 Cost (excluding flights, insurance, meals outside of the camp, any possible vaccinations and DBS if required.) £270 for 1 camp £400 for 2 camps Ages 18+ Suitable for Participant Profile You need to have a heart for youth and young adults, be flexible, willing to serve where the needs are, and work well in teams. Accommodation You will be staying at the campsite in tents or in one small cabin if available. Accommodation fees are included in the price. Expect shared accommodation. Food Food will be provided everyday while at the camp (3 meals per day). If you choose to eat in the town when not at the camp, you will be required to cover this cost. Self-catering is around 6-8€ a day, which is extra to the weekly fee paid. Travel You will need to travel to Belgrade airport (BEG) or Novi Sad Bus Station. Please do not book flights unless you have received an acceptance email from the short-term opportunities team. Health Participants should be in good health. Please advise us beforehand of any dietary requirements. Visa British citizens do not require a visa to enter Serbia for less than 90 days. Please note that it is the responsibility of each traveller to ensure they obtain the necessary visa(s) required for entry into the country that they plan to visit. This excludes destination countries for Ships related travel. We strongly recommend that all visa applications be submitted to the relevant consular website as per their specified requirements well in advance of your intended travel date, this could be up to 8-12 weeks in advance. If a visa is denied or not obtained in time, we are unable to offer any reimbursement for flight costs or any other travel-related expenses. All bookings are made at the traveller’s own risk, and we advise confirming placement/outreach approval before making any non-refundable travel arrangements. Notes Applicants must be 18 or over. This outreach is tailored towards those aged 18-50. Volunteers are welcome to come for 1 camp or both camps and the price is reduced for multiple camps as above. As part of our Safeguarding policy, you will require a valid enhanced DBS certificate, which may cost up to an additional £30.
